Annette’s personal values of hard work, family dedication, environmental conservation, and high respect for those who serve our country have guided her to serve her community and make a positive impact on lives around her. She studied Environmental Science at the State University of New York college, where she was selected to be a part of an intensive learning program. She worked as a research assistant and as a laboratory as a technician studying the environment.

Family has always been a strong foundational component in her life. She has been married to Steve for 28 years and they are raising three boys. She is still and has worked as a home school teacher, a church secretary, photographer, library assistant, and classroom support aide for children with learning difficulties.

Involvement in politics began when she felt and realized the country is struggling to find its way in the 21st century. She began to look for ways to have a positive impact in local politics. When the opportunity to be a member of the Berks County Republican Committee presented itself, she became a member. In June of 2018, she was elected South Region Chairwoman. Because of her interest in the Pennsylvania Constitution and law, she was appointed to the Bylaws Committee.

Since October of 2018, she has been a frequent guest on The Point with Clay Breece and The Watchman radio programs on WFYL 1180 AM. The topics have focused on the intersection of faith and politics. Her love of policy analysis and interest in understanding proposed bills in the Assembly and Congress, have helped her tremendously in preparing for the broadcasts.

Faith, Family and Freedom. She prioritizes revitalization of Reading and the surrounding communities to make Berks County an economic hub for growth. Encouraging a resurgence of faith in God, and one another, traditional family values and the freedom to enjoy all our rights is her focus. Her desire to help make Berks County the “keystone of the Keystone State” through innovative new ideas for growth drive her to develop creative solutions to today’s issues.
